Kiwanis Terrific Kids - Our Signature Program

Terrific Kids presentation at Belle Hall Elementary 2019.
For over 40 years, our club has awarded hundreds of "Terrific Kid" certificates to students at Belle Hall and other elementary schools in Mount Pleasant.

Since 2001 we have recognized over 24,000 Terrific Kids and anticipate another 1,600 Terrific Kids in 2019

in the East Cooper & Mt. Pleasant elementary schools.

Terrific Kids is a student recognition program that promotes character development, positive self-esteem, and perseverance. Students work with their classroom teacher and establish goals to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance, or schoolwork. Students then work toward achieving the goal during a specific time period. Our teachers and principals at elementary schools in our area determine the best schedule for recognition. Some schools recognize Terrific Kids during each grading period. Other recognize students more often. Our members enjoy presenting certificates to the kids!
